Fifth-generation extraction technology, expanded correspondence capabilities and major performance gains help healthcare organizations manage growing volumes of unstructured data
OKLAHOMA CITY — August 21, 2026 — Revenue Management Solutions (RMS), a leading provider of healthcare remittance and revenue cycle automation solutions, announced enhancements to its proprietary technology platform. The updates improve how RMS extracts, interprets and routes information from complex healthcare documents, enabling greater accuracy, speed and scalability for healthcare providers and financial partners.
At the center of the release is RMS’s fifth-generation document extraction technology, combining specialized artificial intelligence models with layered validation and deterministic controls. Rather than relying on general-purpose AI, RMS builds and fine-tunes models for specific document types and tasks.
“Healthcare organizations need data they can trust inside mission-critical workflows,” said Greg Bugaj, Chief Information Officer at RMS. “We focus on grounding and validating every layer so we can use advances in AI without introducing uncertainty into revenue cycle operations.”
Healthcare documents vary widely by payer, format and structure, often breaking traditional template-based systems. RMS evaluates document content and structure, including layout and relationships between data elements. Multiple analytical layers help the system interpret meaning even when formats change, improving consistency across EOBs, correspondence and other unstructured documents.
RMS has increased large-document processing capacity by up to 10x, enabling higher page volumes, faster batch processing and improved handling of spikes in payer documentation. This reduces turnaround time for remittance data delivery and strengthens resilience during industry disruptions.
RMS is applying its enhanced extraction technology to payer correspondence, a highly manual revenue cycle challenge. The platform can identify document type, sender and key information, helping route correspondence into the appropriate workflow.
RMS has expanded its correspondence classification capabilities from 13 to 25 categories, with advanced payer and sender identification and intelligent indexing.
“We’re not simply digitizing documents,” said Bryan Irwin, Chief Product Officer at RMS. “We’re giving organizations more usable information from payer communication so they can reduce manual review and move work to the right place faster.”
Healthcare organizations face longer, less standardized payer documents that often span multiple patients or claims. RMS’s enhancements reduce the manual burden of interpreting and routing this information while improving scalability, accuracy and adaptability to payer format changes.
RMS is also extending its fifth-generation technology beyond 835 EOB processing into additional document types, including workers’ compensation and other non-standard documentation. Because the system interprets information based on context rather than fixed templates, it can support a broader range of revenue cycle workflows.
Revenue Management Solutions (RMS) provides healthcare remittance and revenue cycle automation solutions that help organizations reconcile payments, manage EOBs, route correspondence, streamline enrollments and reduce manual work. Through proprietary technology and 100% onshore support, RMS helps improve visibility, efficiency and cash flow.
